Release/Excavation, part two (2010)

Single-channel HD video w/ 2-channel audio. 12 min.

A contemplative passage among spaces contained and unlimited. Symbolic gesture, light, depth and shadow chart a journey inward, then outward, visually anchored by the Maine landscape. The images and sounds of stone and water fluctuate and are displaced, echoing the shifting relationships between time and perception, resonance and dissonance, and burdening and unburdening as parts of a personal and spiritual process of redemption, rebirth and return.

Installed/screened at the University of Maine at Farmington, 2010 and the Lewiston/Augusta Film Festival, 2011
